I have been passionate about Dencoding and refining it since 2001 and had been the pleasure of working with so many people of different ages. I am so proud and excited by the results it has produced and some of those individuals have kindly allowed me to share their testimonials with you…
“Anya, my daughter, has immediately benefitted from Dencoding and this is a brief testimonial on how far she has come from the ‘emerging’ stage to the ‘expected’ stage.
The first major improvement has been a tremendous improvement in her reading. This can be attributed to her ability to pronounce words well as she was introduced to Dencoding. She now amazes us at home as well as her teacher and mates in school with her reading skills.
Dencoding is meant to bridge the gap between reading and writing. This has become evident in Anya as she is now able to write about events that happened in the past, current happenings and events expected in the future which she reads about. This is a rare characteristic of a child at her age and it’s all thanks to Dencoding.
Further to this, Anya’s spelling has improved remarkably. She does not score less than 9/10 in tests and was part of the 10 people who competed for the top 3 positions during the Big Spelling Test in school. She left her teacher marvelled with her performance. The secret to this is Dencoding.
Lastly, Anya’s handwriting has improved dramatically after coming across Dencoding. I advise parents to introduce their children in their quest to see them improve their spelling, reading and writing skills. Also, governments should consider introducing Dencoding in schools to improve these skills.
Asking Anya how she feels she says “Diane has helped me very much with my spelling and reading. Everyone says how well I can spell at school. I have gone up in my reading levels too.” In fact, Anya went up in reading levels after the first 2 or 3 sessions.” - A parent fan and his daughter

“I came across Dencoding quite by accident, saddened by my child’s end of year report and searching the internet for help. Whilst you never get used to the comments of ‘immaturity’ or ‘you don’t want to give a child a label,’ I think any mother has a duty to protect their child’s self-esteem. In year 5 Emma’s confidence was mentioned in every subject. Time for action! I am so pleased I ‘stumbled’ across Diane. I make a point because Dencoding should be proactively given to every parent-not for us to hunt out…. In Year 5 she jumped 3 bands, double of what is expected! Dencoding is a blessing, she is now in Year 6. She is confident and has a strategy for spelling, we have a way of working on it…We are really hopeful that she will enter Secondary school, confident and happy…She has settled in brilliantly: she really is a changed young lady. We went along to her first performance review and she received a glowing report…You helped her to surpass that, we are so grateful.” -A parent fan

“I have been assigned to ‘x’ who has a sever hearing problem…Mrs. Guerard takes him for special spelling and word association classes where she teaches him and other children who need extra help. The Dencoding method Diane uses especially helps as it puts emphasis on letters or groups of letters, making him think by breaking up the word into sections…Mrs. Guerard has a good deal of success with this method as it makes him stop and think a little to assess the word, spell and speak it correctly. This is very essential for his use of story writing, reading and pronouncing of words due to his lack of hearing. He has vastly improved his speech, making it easier for him to be understood clearly in general conversation in his everyday life, therefore leading to less frustration all round. I became involved in this method along with ‘x’ and found that it also helps me to slow down my speech, making it clearer for him to hear and understand the spoken word." - Learning Support Assistant
“Your symbols are really helping ‘x’ with his spellings each week and understanding when to change the pronunciation of words in reading.I am currently learning French and I have been using some of your symbols to help me remember how to pronounce their words.” - Learning Support Assistant
